Attach the P-clips (43) in the RAT stowage compartment with the screws (41), the washers (42) and the spacers (44).

Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2) and (53).

Remove the blanking caps from the electrical receptacles (3) and (52).

Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

Connect the electrical connectors (2) and (53) to the receptacles (3) and (52).

R CAUTION : DO NOT LIFT THE RAT BY THE TURBINE BLADES._______
R CAUTION : DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MICROSWITCHES AT THE TOP OF THE LEG_______
R ASSEMBLY.
R NOTE : The turbine and the leg assembly weigh a total of approximately____
R 36.1 kg (79.5868 lb).
R (1) Lift the RAT in the installation position and align the eye-end (34)
R with the mounting on the leg assembly (11).
R (2) Put the eye-end (34) and the leg assembly (11) in the correct
R position and install the bolt (21) with the washers (20), (32).
R (3) Install the nut (33) on the bolt (21) but do not tighten the nut (33)
R at this time.
R (4) Align the trunnion with the hole for the support bearing (62).
R (5) Put the support bearing (62) through its hole in the structure (1)
R and on the trunnion shaft (75).
R (6) Install the bolts (60) with the washers (61) and the nuts (63).
R (7) Make sure that the end of the trunnion shaft (75) is in the correct
R position.

R (8) Put the forked bearing (72) through its hole in the structure (1) and
R on the trunnion shaft (75).
R (9) Install the bolt (73) and the nut (78).
R (10) Put the safety plate (74) in position on the structure (1).
R (11) Install the bolts (70) with the washers (71) and the nuts (76).
R (12) Put the support plate (80) in position on the structure (1).
R (13) Install the screws (82) with the washers (81).
R (14) Torque the nut (33) to between 4.74 and 5.29 m.daN (34.95 and 39.01
R lbf.ft).
R (15) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
R (16) Apply the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the threads of
R the line end-fittings.
R (17) Remove the blanking caps from the ports (51) and (55).
R (18) Put the hydraulic-pipe (91) in position.
R (19) Attach the union nuts (50) to the ports (51).
R (20) TORQUE the union nuts (50) to between 9.7 and 10.7 m.daN (71.53 and
R 78.90 lbf.ft).
R (21) Put the hydraulic-pipe (92) in position.
R (22) Attach the union nuts (54) to the ports (55).
R (23) TORQUE the union nut (54) to between 12.9 and 14.2 m.daN (95.13 and
R 104.71 lbf.ft).
R (24) Connect the hose (85) with the leakage drain line (87).
R (25) Safety the hose with a tyrap (86).
R (26) Install the screw (46) with the washer (47) and the bonding strap
R (48) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
