3. Job Set-up
__________
Subtask 29-30-00-860-053
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU, lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3)
Make sure that the ECAM upper DU shows the RAT FAULT warning.
4. Procedure
_________
(Ref. Fig. 402A/TASK 29-30-00-991-003-A)
Subtask 29-30-00-040-051
A. Deactivation of the RAT FAULT Warning
(1) Do a visual check of the left belly fairing to make sure that the RAT is not extended.
NOTE : If the RAT is extended, you must do the trouble shooting
____ procedure of the system before you can dispatch the aircraft.

____
procedure.
(2)
Open the access panels 195BB and 197EB.
(3)
Do the test of the lights on the RAT control panel 3GE.
(a)
Open the cover of the RAT control panel 3GE.
(b)
Set the 28V DC switch to ON.
(c)
Set and hold the LAMP TEST switch and make sure that the red warning light ACTUATOR PRESSURE and the green indicator light RAT STOWED come on.
NOTE : If the red warning light ACTUATOR PRESSURE or the green
____ indicator light RAT STOWED does not come on, replace the applicable bulb.
(d)
Release the LAMP TEST switch.
(e)
Set the 28V DC switch to OFF.
(4)
Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5)
Look to see that the red warning light ACTUATOR PRESSURE is on. NOTE : If the red warning light ACTUATOR PRESSURE is off, continue
____
with the work step (7).
(6)
If the red warning light ACTUATOR PRESSURE is on:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector 1GE-E from the RAT actuator.
(b)
Look at the ECAM upper DU and see if the RAT FAULT warning shows.
(c)
If the RAT FAULT warning shows on the ECAM upper DU, there is a fault of the wiring:
1 Connect the electrical connector 1GE-E.
_
2 Continue with the work step (7) (a).
_
(d) If the RAT FAULT warning does not show on the ECAM upper DU: 1 Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-
_
864-003).
