D. Remove Pressure from the Aileron Hydraulic Systems A and B
WARNING: YOU MUST REMOVE PRESSURE FROM THE AILERON HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS A AND
B BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE ON THE AILERON CONTROL SYSTEM. THIS IS TO
PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS, AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BECAUSE OF
ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE AILERONS.
SUBTASK 27-11-00-860-001
(1) Remove pressure from the aileron hydraulic systems A and B:
(a) Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the forward overhead panel, P5, to the OFF
position.
(b) Open these circuit breakers and install safety tags:

(c) Set the ELEC 2, HYD PUMPS A or ELEC 1, HYD PUMPS B switches on the forward
overhead panel, P5, to the OFF position.
(d) Operate the rudder pedals to decrease the remaining hydraulic system pressure.

(2) Install the lock, SPL-1675 on the flight controls shutoff valves for systems A and B:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connectors from the shutoff valves.
NOTE: The flight controls shutoff valve is part of the flight controls hydraulic module. The
hydraulic module for hydraulic system A is found in the left main wheel well. The
hydraulic module for hydraulic system B is found in the right main wheel well.
(b) Make sure the manual override levers on the shutoff valves moved to position 2.
(c) Install the lock, SPL-1675 on each shutoff valve.
1) Make sure to install the lockpins.
