9) Install lockwire, G02436 on the locknut [2].
(e) Adjust the upper (secondary) pogo [1] on system B PCU:
1) Turn the shaft in the barrel and left clevis to adjust the length of the upper pogo [1] until
you can easily install the bolt [3] in the PCU lever.
a) Install the bolt [3] with washer [4], bushing [5], washer [6], nut [7] and pin [8] to
connect the upper pogo [1] to the system B PCU.
b) Make sure the drain holes on the pogo are down.
2) Tighten the locknut [2] to 50-75 pound-inches (5.6-8.5 newton-meters).
3) Make sure the bolt [3] fits freely in the hole.
a) Adjust the upper pogo [1] on system B again if it is necessary.
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE
LANDING GEAR. THE CONTROL SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS,
AND THE LANDING GEAR CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY
HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
4) Pressurize hydraulic system B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Pressurization,
TASK 29-11-00-860-801.
5) Make sure you can easily install and remove the rig pin A/S-4, from the rig pin kit,
SPL-1585, in the aileron bus drum (Figure 501).
6) If you cannot easily install and remove the rig pin A/S-4, do these steps;
NOTE: Do not adjust the upper or lower pogo on system B PCU. You can get free rig
pin when the pogos are incorrectly adjusted in the opposite directions. Do not
adjust the upper or lower pogo on system A PCU. You will misrig the system A
PCU if you adjust the system A pogos.

a) Remove the pins [8], nuts [7], washers [6], bushings [5], washers [4] and bolts [3] to
disconnect the upper pogo [1] from the system B PCU.
b) Adjust the lower pogo [1] on system B PCU again until you can easily install and
remove rig pin A/S-4, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585.
c) Do the adjustment of the upper pogo [1] on system B PCU again from the
beginning.
7) To remove power from hydraulic system B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Power Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.
8) Make sure the left pogo clevis bushing flanges are pointed up, and the drain hole in the
pogo barrel is pointed down, when the pogo is re-connected.
9) Install lockwire, G02436 on the locknut.

(3) Install the rig pin A/S-4, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, in the aileron bus drum.

(4) Install the rig pin A/S-15, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, in the aileron trim actuator.

(5) Visually check that the valve arms on the upper and lower pogos for each PCU are at the center
between the stops (Figure 503) (View C).
(a) If the valve arms are not at the center between the stops, adjust the four pogos [1] in the
same specified sequence as above.

(6) Make sure the gaps between the lug on the top aileron bus drum and the screws [12] on the
bottom aileron bus drum is 0.04-0.06 inch (1.02-1.52 millimeters) (Figure 503) (View A-A).
(a) If the gap is out of tolerance, do these steps;
1) Remove the lockwire, G02436.
2) Loosen the nut [13].
3) Adjust the screw [12] until the gap is 0.04-0.06 inch (1.0-1.5 millimeters).
4) Install the lockwire, G02436 on the two screws [12] and nuts [13].

(7) Make sure you can freely install and remove the rig pin A/S-3 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585
(Figure 503).
(a) If you cannot freely install and remove rig pin A/S-3, adjust the aileron spring cartridge [11].
1) Loosen the checknuts [9] on the spring cartridge [11].
2) Adjust the length of the spring cartridge [11] until you can easily install and remove rig
pin A/S-3.
a) Make sure the internal spring does not deflect.
b) Make sure there is no backlash.
3) Tighten the checknuts [9] on the spring cartridge [11] to 10-20 pound-inches (1.1-2.3
newton-meters).
4) Install lockwire, G01912 on the checknuts.

(8) Remove rig pins A/S-15 and A/S-4.
