19. MMEL 27-21 (DDPG) Restoration - STBY RUD ON Light Inoperative
A. General
(1) This task puts the airplane back to its usual condition after operation with the STBY RUD ON
indicator light inoperative (illuminated).
(2) The STBY RUD ON indicator light is located on the P5-3 overhead panel.

(1) Remove the safety tag and close this circuit breaker:

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Pressurize the speed brake hydraulic systems A and B. To pressurize them, do this task: Speed
Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization, TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(3) Do a check of the STBY RUD ON light:
(a) Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the P5-3 panel to the ON positions.
(b) Do this task: Put the Airplane in the Air Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-801.
(c) Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent position.
(d) Make sure that the STBY RUD ON light is not illuminated.
(e) Set the FLT CONTROL A switch on the P5-3 panel to the STDBY RUD position.

(f) Make sure that the STBY RUD ON light is illuminated.
(g) Set the FLT CONTROL A switch on the P5-3 panel to the OFF position.
(h) Make sure that the STBY RUD ON light is not illuminated.
(i) Set the FLT CONTROL B switch on the P5-3 panel to the STDBY RUD position.
(j) Make sure that the STBY RUD ON light is illuminated.
(k) Set the FLT CONTROL B switch on the P5-3 panel to the OFF position.
(l) Make sure that the STBY RUD ON light is not illuminated.
(m) Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the P5-3 panel to the ON positions.
(n) Make sure that the STBY RUD ON light is not illuminated.
(o) Move the flap control lever to the UP detent position.
(p) Do this task: Return the Airplane to the Ground Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-802.
(q) Do this task: Put the Rudder Hydraulic systems A, B, and Standby Back to the Condition
Before the Pressurization, TASK 27-21-00-840-801.

(4) Remove the INDICATOR INOP placard from the STBY RUD ON indicator on the P5-3 panel.
