AILERON TAB CONTROL RODS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of an aileron tab control rods
(2) An installation of the aileron tab control rods.
B. In this procedure the aileron tab control rods are referred to as the "control rods".

(1) Remove these access panels:

D. Aileron Tab Control Rods Removal
SUBTASK 27-11-34-020-001
(1) Remove the bolts [6] that attach the forward removable fairing [2] to the aileron [1].
(a) Remove the forward removable fairing [2].
SUBTASK 27-11-34-020-002
(2) Remove the bolts [4] that attach the aft removable fairing [3] to the aileron balance tab [5].
(a) Remove the aft removable fairing [3].

SUBTASK 27-11-34-020-003
(3) Remove the control rod assembly [17]:
(a) Lift up the aileron trailing edge.
(b) Remove the bolts [13] and washers [14] that attach the radial seal [16] to the radial seal
retainer [15] to the structure.
(c) Remove the radial seal [16] and radial seal retainer [15].
(d) Remove the pins [12], nuts [11], washers [10], bushings [9], washers [8] and bolts [7] that
connect the control rod assembly [17] to the forward fittings. Discard the pins [12].
(e) Move the aileron trailing edge down.
(f) Remove the pins [12], nuts [11], washers [10], bushings [18], washers [8], and bolts [19] that
connect the control rod assembly [17] to the tab mast. Discard the pins [12].
(g) Remove the control rod assembly [17] from the airplane.

(4) Write down the length of the control rod assembly [17].
