FLIGHT CONTROLS HYDRAULIC MODULE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
NOTE: Do not install Flight Control Module 65-44891-7 with serial number 8726-8936 unless the
compensators, 10-60560-3, with serial number 20478A thru 20717A is not installed.
Compensators, 10-6050-3, with serial number 20478A thru 20717A are prohibited by AD
2002-19-51, Rev.1.
(1) A removal of the flight controls hydraulic module
(2) An installation of the flight controls hydraulic module.
B. The flight controls hydraulic module is referred to as the "hydraulic module" in this procedure.
C. There are two hydraulic modules installed on the airplane. The hydraulic module for the hydraulic
system A is found in the left main wheel well. The hydraulic module for the hydraulic system B is
found in the right main wheel well.
D. Each hydraulic module contains these components:
(1) A check valve
(2) A low pressure warning switch
(3) A compensator cartridge
(4) A spoiler shutoff valve
(5) A flight controls shutoff valve.

D. Prepare for the Removal
SUBTASK 27-09-21-480-001
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING GEARS.
WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCK PINS, THE LANDING GEARS COULD RETRACT AND
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) If the downlock pins are not installed on all the landing gears, do this task: Landing Gear
Downlock Pins Installation, TASK 32-00-01-480-801.

(2) If there is power on hydraulic systems A and B, remove hydraulic power. To remove power from
hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Power Removal,
TASK 29-11-00-860-805.

(3) Do this task: Hydraulic Reservoirs Depressurization, TASK 29-11-01-860-802 or Hydraulic
Reservoirs Depressurization, TASK 29-09-00-860-802.
