WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE
COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER.
THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) To pressurize hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Pressurization, TASK 29-11-00-860-801.
E. Flight Controls Hydraulic Module Test
SUBTASK 27-09-21-720-001
(1) Do the test of the hydraulic module [3]:
(a) Make sure the two FLT CONTROL switches, on the P5-3 Flight Controls panel, are in the ON
position (Figure 501).
(b) Make sure the two SPOILER switches, on the P5-3 Flight Controls panel, are in the ON
position.
(c) Make sure the manual override levers [4] of the spoiler shutoff valve [1] and flight controls
shutoff valve [2] on the two hydraulic modules [3] are in position 1 (Figure 502).
(d) Operate the aileron control wheel, control column, and rudder pedal sets to bleed the
hydraulic system.
(e) Make sure there is no leakage of hydraulic fluid at the hydraulic modules [3].
(f) Set the two SPOILER switches to the OFF position.
(g) Make sure the manual override lever [4] of the spoiler shutoff valve [1] on the two hydraulic
modules [3] is in position 2.
(h) Turn the aileron control wheel.
(i) Make sure the spoilers do not operate.
(j) Set the two FLIGHT CONTROL switches to the OFF position.
(k) Make sure the manual override lever [4] of the flight controls shutoff valve [2] on the two
hydraulic modules [3] is in position 2.
(l) Make sure the two LOW PRESSURE warning lights, on the P5-3 Flight Controls panel, come
on.
(m) Set the two FLIGHT CONTROL switches to the ON position.
(n) Make sure the two LOW PRESSURE warning lights go off.
(o) Set the two SPOILER switches to the ON position.

(2) To remove power from hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Power Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.
SUBTASK 27-09-21-210-001
(3) Make sure the LOW PRESSURE lights come on.
SUBTASK 27-09-21-210-002
(4) Make sure the master warning and caution lights and the flight controls warning light come on.
