(1) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.

(2) Install the mount, SPL-1670 and the control column assembly protractor, SPL-1680 to the first
officer’s control wheel.

(3) Install the adapter, SPL-1674 to the captain’s control wheel.

(4) Make sure the aileron trim system is at the center.

(a) Use the torque wrench (100 Lb-In), STD-1293 on the adapter, SPL-1674 to measure the force
that is necessary to turn the captain’s control wheels in the clockwise direction.
NOTE: If the adapter, SPL-1674 is not available, apply a tangent force to the captain’s
control wheel at 6.5 inch (165 millimeters) radius.
1) Turn the control wheel clockwise until the ailerons start to move.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 215 pound-inches (24.3 newton-meters) or
33.1 pounds (147.2 newtons).
2) Continue to turn the control wheel to 20 degrees.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 243 pound-inches (27.5 newton-meters) or
37.4 pounds (166.4 newtons).
3) Continue to turn the control wheel to 40 degrees.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 279 pound-inches (31.5 newton-meters) or
42.9 pounds (190.8 newtons).
4) Continue to turn the control wheel to 75 degrees.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 333 pound-inches (37.6 newton-meters) or
51.2 pounds (227.7 newtons).
(b) Measure the force that is necessary to turn the captain’s control wheel in the
counterclockwise direction.
NOTE: If the adapter, SPL-1674 is not available, apply a tangent force to the captain’s
control wheel at 6.5 inch (165 millimeters) radius.
1) Turn the control wheel counterclockwise until the ailerons start to move.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 215 pound-inches (24.3 newton-meters) or
33.1 pounds (147.2 newtons).
2) Continue to turn the control wheel to 20 degrees.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 243 pound-inches (27.5 newton-meters) or
37.4 pounds (166.4 newtons).
3) Continue to turn the control wheel to 40 degrees.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 279 pound-inches (31.5 newton-meters) or
42.9 pounds (190.8 newtons).
4) Continue to turn the control wheel to 75 degrees.
a) Make sure the force is not more than 333 pound-inches (37.6 newton-meters) or
