WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING GEARS.
WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCK PINS, THE LANDING GEARS COULD RETRACT AND
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) If the downlock pins are not installed on all the landing gears, do this task: Landing Gear
Downlock Pins Installation, TASK 32-00-01-480-801.

WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THE CONTROL
SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR CAN MOVE
SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) To pressurize hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Pressurization, TASK 29-11-00-860-801.

(3) Operate the aileron trim switches on the control stand panel, P8, until you can freely install and
remove the rig pin A/S-15, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, in the aileron trim actuator (Figure 501).

(4) To remove power from hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Power Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.
F. Pogo and the Power Control Unit (PCU) Adjustment
SUBTASK 27-11-00-860-023
(1) Make sure you can freely install and remove the rig pin A/S-4, from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585, in
the aileron bus drum (Figure 501).

(2) If you cannot easily install and remove the rig pin A/S-4, adjust the pogos [1] in the specified
sequence:
NOTE: When adjustment of the four pogos is necessary, make sure you follow these
instructions in the specified sequence. Incorrect adjustment of the upper and lower
pogos on system A or B PCU when adjusted in the opposite directions will cause the
incorrect condition of ’free fit’ of rig pin A/S 4.
(a) Disconnect the upper and lower pogos from system B PCU and the upper pogo from
system A PCU.
1) Remove the pins [8], nuts [7], washers [6], bushings [5], washers [4] and bolts [3] to
disconnect the four pogos [1] from the power control units.
(b) Adjust the lower (primary) pogo [1] on system A PCU:
NOTE: The initial length of the pogo is approximately 13.78 inches (350.1 millimeters) and
the drain holes are down.
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE
LANDING GEAR. THE CONTROL SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS,
AND THE LANDING GEAR CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY
HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
