E. Flight Controls Hydraulic Module Removal
SUBTASK 27-09-21-020-001
(1) Remove the hydraulic module [1]:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connectors [18], [14] and [13] from the spoiler shutoff valve [16],
the flight controls shutoff valve [17], and the low pressure warning switch [15].
(b) Use a container 5 gallon (19 liters) hydraulic fluid resistant container, STD-1110 to catch
hydraulic fluid that drains from the hydraulic module [1].
(c) Disconnect the hydraulic tubing from the hydraulic module [1].
(d) Remove the bolts [6] and washers [7] to disconnect the hydraulic module [1] from the top
mounting bracket.
(e) Remove the bolts [8] and washers [9] to disconnect the hydraulic module [1] from the
bottom mounting bracket.
(f) Remove the hydraulic module [1] from the airplane.

(2) Install protective caps on the ends of the hydraulic tubing.

(3) If you install a new hydraulic module [1], do these steps:
(a) Remove the unions [3] and packings [2] in ports 1, 2, 5 from the hydraulic module [1].
Discard the packings.
(b) Remove the unions [5] and packings [4] in ports 4 and 7 from the hydraulic module [1].
Discard the packings.
(c) Remove the check valve [10] and packing [4] in port 3 from the hydraulic module [1].
Discard the packings.

(d) Remove the reducer [11] and packing [12] in port 6 from the hydraulic module [1]. Discard
the packings.
SUBTASK 27-09-21-420-002
(4) Install protective caps in the open ports of the hydraulic module [1].
