E. Flight Controls Hydraulic Module Installation
NOTE: Do not install Flight Control Module 65-44891-7 with serial number 8726 thru 8936. These
FCMs has compensators, 10-60560-3, with serial number 20478A thru 20717A installed.
These compensators are prohibited by AD 2002-19-51, Rev.1.

(1) Remove protective caps from the open ports of the hydraulic module [1].

(2) If they are not installed, install the unions [3], unions [5], reducer [11], packings [2], packings [4],
and packing [12] on the hydraulic module [1]:
(a) Apply MCS 352B fluid, D00054 (recommended) or fluid, D00153 (alternative) to the unions
[3], unions [5], reducer [11] and new packings [2], new packings [4], and new packing [12].
(b) Install the new packings [2] and unions [3] in ports 1, 2, 5 on the hydraulic module [1].
(c) Install the new packings [4] and unions [5] in ports 4 and 7 on the hydraulic module [1].
(d) Install the new packing [4] and check valve [10] in port 3 on the hydraulic module [1].
1) Install the check valve [10] with the free flow arrow pointed away from the hydraulic
module [1].
(e) Install the new packing [12] and reducer [11] in port 6 on the hydraulic module [1].

(3) Remove the protective caps from the hydraulic tubing.

(4) Install the hydraulic module [1]:
(a) Put the hydraulic module [1] on its mounting bracket.
(b) Connect the hydraulic module [1] to the top mounting bracket with the bolts [6] and washers
[7].
(c) Connect the hydraulic module [1] to the bottom mounting bracket with the bolts [8] and
washers [9].
(d) Connect the hydraulic tubing to the hydraulic module [1].
(e) Before you connect the electrical connectors [18], [13] and [14], examine the connectors for
corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(f) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(g) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connectors (SWPM 20-60-03).
(h) Connect the electrical connectors [18], [13] and [14] to the spoiler shutoff valve [16], the
flight controls shutoff valve [17], and the low pressure warning switch [15].
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

FLIGHT CONTROLS HYDRAULIC MODULE - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A. There is one task in this procedure which is the test of the flight controls hydraulic module.
B. The flight controls hydraulic module is referred to as the "hydraulic module" in this procedure.
C. The hydraulic module for hydraulic system A is found in the left main wheel well. The hydraulic
module for hydraulic system B is found in the right main wheel well.

2. Flight Controls Hydraulic Module Test
A. General
(1) In this procedure, the two hydraulic modules [1] are tested at the same time.
