Procedure

CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.

Open the cargo door sufficiently to get access to the bolt heads on the top door beam and fuselage top sill.

Open these circuit breakers for the applicable cargo door and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

Remove the cargo door junction box (Ref 52-34-05/401).

Remove the necessary fasteners to remove the top door lining.

Remove the top door lining.

Remove the rain seal from the cargo door (Ref 52-09-03/401).

Remove the doorway ceiling panel (Ref 25-52-01/401).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE AND INSTALL ONE HINGE SECTION AT A TIME.
_______ IF YOU REMOVE MORE THAN ONE HINGE SECTION AT A TIME, DAMAGE TO THE HINGE SECTIONS CAN OCCUR.
(8) Remove the fasteners from the door hinge segment and the fuselage hinge segment (Fig. 401).
NOTE:____Index the fastener location for installation. Also index the location and position of the shims. The shims must be installed in the same initial position.

(9) Remove each hinge sections.
