WARNING:_______ BE PREPARED TO CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF THE DOOR. WHEN THE LATCHES AND HOOKS OPEN, THE DOOR WILL MOVE OUTBOARD TO THE VERTICAL POSITION. INJURY OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED.
CAUTION:_______ IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
(e) Put the door control switch to the OPEN position.
NOTE:____ The door will move outboard to the vertical position.
(3) S 494-003Use a temporary support to keep the cargo door in the vertical position.
(4) S 864-004Open these circuit breakers for the applicable cargo door and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P59 Aft Equipment Panel 1) AFT CARGO DOOR POWER UNITS (b) P414 Power Distribution Center - Left 1) 414A21 LOWER CARGO DOOR FWD 2) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FWD 3) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT
(5) S 034-005Remove the door lift links from the rotary actuators.
NOTE:____ Do not change the length of the door lift links.
(6) S 014-006Remove the doorway ceiling panel (AMM 25-52-01/401).
(7) S 034-007Remove the bolt that holds the torque tube to the adapter tube at each rotary actuator.
(8) S 844-027Move each adapter tube on the torque tube to remove the rotary actuators (View A and View B).
(9) S 034-008Remove the door up switch from the support bracket.

(10) Remove the bolts from the forward and aft side of the rotary actuator.
NOTE: Make sure you do not move the shims (View C and View B-B).
____ Identify the bolts with a mark for the installation procedure.

Remove the rotary actuator.

On the forward rotary actuator on the aft door, remove the fasteners and the conduit support bracket (Fig. 401, View B).

3. Rotary Actuator - Installation______________________________
A. General
(1)
The rotary actuators are found on the main deck floor beams inboard of the forward cargo door at body stations 580 and 660, and inboard of the aft cargo door at body stations 1820 and 1900.
