 3)  From outside the cargo compartment, remove cover from lift actuator manual drive port above the door and insert a 1/2-inch drive speed wrench in manual drive socket.
 4)  Rotate speed wrench clockwise and drive the door closed until the hooks are engaged with hook pins on door frame.
Close hooks.
 CAUTION: DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS TO OPERATE HOOK ACTUATOR.
_______ USE OF POWER TOOLS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE BY EXCEEDING TORQUE LIMITATIONS. MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE TORQUE IS 70 POUND-INCHES. WHEN MANUALLY OPERATING POWER UNIT, STOP CONTACT IS FELT BY A SUDDEN TORQUE RISE WHICH IS NOT TO EXCEED 70 POUND-INCHES.
 1)  Remove cover from hook actuator manual drive port and insert a 1/2-inch drive speed wrench in manual drive socket.
 2)  Rotate manual drive clockwise until door is pulled into the fully closed position, fair with airplane skin.
 NOTE: If initial or final rotation of hook is difficult,
____ hook rotation may be assisted by using lift actuator manually or electrically.
Close latches.
 CAUTION: DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS TO OPERATE LATCH ACTUATOR.

 2)  Rotate manual drive clockwise to latch cargo door.
 3)  If the door has electrical power, make sure the green LATCHES CLOSED light on the door operators panel comes on.
 4)  Check that latch alignment stripes are aligned (as viewed through viewing ports at lower edge of door).
 NOTE: Viewports should be kept clean and latch alignment
____ stripes should be intact.
 (d)  Lock door latches.
 CAUTION: DO NOT TURN THE LATCH ACTUATOR MANUAL DRIVE AFTER YOU
_______ CLOSE THE MASTER LATCH LOCK HANDLE. IF YOU ROTATE THE LATCH ACTUATOR MANUAL DRIVE THE LATCH CAMS CAN DAMAGE THE LOCK SECTORS.
 1) Close master latch lock handle as follows: a) Observe that pressure relief doors are open prior to closing handle.
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT FORCE THE MASTER LATCH LOCK HANDLE. IF RESISTANCE IS FELT CHECK LATCH ALIGNMENT STRIPES THROUGH VIEWING PORTS IN DOOR. LATCH CAMS NOT FULLY CLOSED COULD CAUSE THE MASTER LATCH LOCK HANDLE MECHANISM SHEAR RIVET TO SHEAR.
 b)  Close handle and latch it into it's recess. Observe the pressure relief doors closing while moving handle to closed position.
 2)  If the door has electrical power, see that the green LATCHES CLOSED light on the door operators panel goes off.
 3)  Check that cargo door caution message on the upper EICAS display goes out.
 (4)  
Open or close door with one or more electrically inoperative actuators.

 (a)  
Operate door electrically as described in the "Open and close door electrically" paragraph until electrically inoperative actuator stops door operation. Place door control switch off.

Bypass the inoperative actuator function manually as described in "Open door manually" and "Close door manually" paragraphs.

 (c)  
Continue electrical operation as described in the "Open and close door electrically" paragraph.

 (5)  
Open door with a jammed actuator or mechanism.

 (a)  
Operate door electrically as described in the "Open and close door electrically" paragraph until jammed actuator or mechanism stops door operation. Place door control switch off.
