CAUTION:_______ IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT
OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL
SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE
SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST
10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.

Open the cargo door sufficiently to get access to the cargo compartment.

Remove the cargo door junction box (AMM 52-34-05/401).

Remove the upper and lower door lining.

Remove the swivel clamp (8) from the door support fitting (9) (Fig. 403).

Remove the rain seal from the cargo door (AMM 52-09-03/401).

Install the cargo door sling and apply sufficient tension to release the door hinges of the door weight (Fig. 404).

Disconnect the links (View D, Fig. 405) which extend from each rotary actuator arm to the door support fittings.

Remove the doorway ceiling panel (AMM 25-52-01/401).

Remove the hinge pins (Fig. 401, Fig. 402).
(a)
Remove the fasteners that attach the third and fourth center hinge sections on the forward end of the door.
NOTE: Identify the shims with a tag for the installation
____ procedure. You must install the shims in the same position.
On the aft cargo door, remove the fifth and sixth center hinge sections from the forward end of the door.
(b) Install the bolt in the end hinge pin (16 and 19) to remove the end hinge pin.
