Do a check of the hook actuator with the door in the open position.

Make sure the hook has not contacted the stop bolts (Detail B, Fig. 601).

Put the torque wrench in the manual drive socket of the hook actuator.

Make a mark on the door to show the position of the torque wrench handle.
NOTE: This position is where the actuator stops after

it operates electrically.
(d)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the CLOSE direction.
(e)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the OPEN direction.
(f)
Make a note of the torque that is necessary to move the actuator.
(g)
Turn the torque wrench slowly in the OPEN direction.
(h)
Make sure that the external stop bolts have been contacted.
(i)
Make sure the internal stops have not been contacted.
NOTE: The actuator has contacted the internal stops when the

Examine the latch lock sectors for damage (Fig. 602).

Use the LATCHES CLOSED light to do a check as follows: 1) Open the master latch lock handle. 2) Make sure the green "LATCHES CLOSED" light comes on. 3) Close the master latch lock handle. 4) Make sure the green "LATCHES CLOSED" light goes off.
