 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 (a)  
Open the door for access.

 (b)  
Look to see if there are rigging pin holes in the hook support fittings.

 (c)  
Drill the rigging pin holes in the hook support fittings if it is necessary (Ref 52-34-00/801).

 (d)  
Adjust the rigged-closed position of the hook:


 CAUTION: USE A TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR TO FIND
_______ WHEN THE INTERNAL STOPS TOUCH EACH OTHER (FIG. 506). TOO MUCH TORQUE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STOPS.
 1)  Put the hook actuator in the rigged-closed position as follows: a) Turn the hook actuator with a torque wrench to find
 when the internal stops touch each other (Fig. 506). b) Then, turn the hook actuator in the other direction the number of turns shown (Fig. 506).
 2)  Adjust the lengths of the hook pushrods until you can install the rig pin LCD-1(7) through the rig pin hole in each hook (View A-A, Fig. 502).

HOOK ACTUATOR MANUAL DRIVE TORQUE WRENCH TURNS (

CLOCKWISE TO CLOSE; COUNTERCLOCKWISE TO OPEN

HOOK ACTUATOR DIAGRAM
NOTE:  THE TURNS ARE THE NUMBER OF TURNS OF A TORQUE WRENCH IN THE MANUAL DRIVE. COUNT THE TURNS AFTER YOU FIND THE INTERNAL STOPS.

TO GET THE ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS AGAINST EACH OTHER, DO THESE STEPS:
1.
 MEASURE THE TORQUE (M) WHILE YOU TURN THE ACTUATOR BETWEEN STOPS.
THE TORQUE MUST BE CONSTANT AT |2 POUND-INCHES.


2.
 FIND THE POSITION WHEN THE TORQUE INCREASED TO 15 |5 POUND-INCHES (M + 15).

3.
 TURN THE TORQUE WRENCH 1/2 TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.


FOR THE FORWARD CARGO DOOR, THE HOOKS ARE AT THE HOOKS RIGGED OPEN POSITION AFTER YOU TURN THE ACTUATOR 112 TURNS. FOR THE AFT CARGO DOOR, THE HOOKS ARE AT THE HOOKS RIGGED OPEN POSITION
AFTER YOU TURN THE ACTUATOR 110 TO 112 TURNS.
REFER TO THE TEXT TO ADJUST THE HOOK POSITION SWITCH
