(15) Do a test on the rotary actuator without electrical power as follows:
NOTE: Adjust the rotary actuator if the steps that follow show
____ misrigging (AMM 52-34-01/401).
(a)
Put a speed wrench into the internal manual drive socket of the lift actuator.
(b)
Turn the actuator 50 turns counterclockwise.
(c)
Make sure the two rotary actuator arms move to the door closed position at the same time.
(d)
With the speed wrench engaged, turn the manual drive again 50 turns clockwise.
(e)
Make sure the two rotary actuator arms move to the door open position at the same time.

(f) Manually open the door to the fully up position (one of the
rotary actuator arms is against its mechanical stop).
NOTE:____ You cannot close the door manually if it hits the
upstops heavily.
(g) If the door hits the upstops heavily, do these steps:
1) If possible, use electrical power to close the door.
2) Manually, lift the bottom edge of the door and turn the
manual drive to close the door.
(h) Manually turn the door to the close posiiton (counterclockwise)
until the clearance between the mechanical stop and the upstop
(on actuator which contacted stop) is from 0.10 to 0.13 inch.
(i) Measure the clearance between the upstop and the mechanical
stop on the other rotary actuator is from 0.10 to 0.20 inch.

Do a test on the rotary actuator with electrical power as follows:
(a)
Electrically operate the door to the vertical position.
(b)
Electrically open the cargo door to the full open position.
(c)
Make sure the clearance between one rotary actuator upstop and its mechanical stop is from 0.10 to 0.13 inch.
(d)
Make sure the clearance on the other actuator is from 0.10 to
0.20 inch.
(e) Make sure you cannot turn the door lift links by hand.
CAUTION: LET THE LIFT ACTUATOR TO COOL FOR AT A MINIMUM OF 1 MINUTE
_______ BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE DOOR AFTER IT IS OPENED. LET THE ACTUATOR TO COOL FOR A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES AFTER ONE FULL CYCLE BEFORE YOU OPEN THE DOOR AGAIN. DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF YOU EXCEED THE ABOVE LIMITS.
(f)
Close the cargo door electrically.
(g)
Make sure the clearance between the mechanical stop and the downstop at each rotary actuator is correct.
(h)
Make sure you can turn the door lift links by hand.
(18)
Install the doorway ceiling panel (AMM 25-52-01/401).
