Pull the master latch lock handle open.

See that the pressure relief doors open and the linkage moves smoothly.
(o)
Put the external control switch in the DOOR OPEN position.
CAUTION: YOU MUST PERMIT A ONE MINUTE TIME DELAY AFTER YOU OPEN OR
_______ CLOSE THE DOOR TO LET THE MOTOR TO COOL. DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF NO TIME DELAY IS PERMITTED.
CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
(p)
Make sure the cargo door fully opens in less than 35 seconds.
(q)
Do a check of the door warning system as follows: 1) Push and hold the plunger on the door latched switch for at least one minutute.
2) Make sure the applicable status message shows on the EICAS display:
NOTE: The status message shows after you hold the plunger

for more than one minute.
a) DOOR FWD CARGO
b) DOOR AFT CARGO. 3) Release the plunger on the door latched switch. 4) Erase the status message from the EICAS display. 5) Push and hold the plunger on the door closed switch for at
least one minute. 6) Make sure the applicable status message shows on the EICAS display:

b) DOOR AFT CARGO.
7) Release the plunger on the door closed switch.
8) Erase the status message on the EICAS display.
9) Push and hold the plunger on the door warning switch for at least one minute.
10) Make sure the applicable status message shows on the EICAS display:
NOTE: The status message shows after you hold the plunger

for more than one minute.
a) DOOR FWD CARGO
b) DOOR AFT CARGO.
11) Release the plunger on the door warning switch.
12) Erase the status message from the EICAS display.
13) Move the door until it is open between 1 and 2 feet.
14) Push and hold the plungers of the Door Warning Switch, the Door Latched Switch and the Door Closed Switches.
NOTE: During the subsequent steps you will release the
____ plunger of each switch individually. Continue to hold the plungers of the other two switches when the first switch plunger is released. This will do a test of the door latched, door closed and door warning circuits.
15) Release the plunger of the Door Latched Switch.
NOTE: This does a test of the door latched circuit.

16) See that the applicable caution message shows on EICAS. a) DOOR FWD CARGO b) DOOR AFT CARGO
17) Push and hold the plunger of the Door Latched Switch.
18) See that the applicable caution message does not show on EICAS. a) DOOR FWD CARGO
