 (11)
Adjust the latch or hook mechanism if it is necessary (Ref 52-34-00/501).

 S 226-009

 (12)
Do a check of the maximum torque that is necessary to operate the latch actuator.

 (a)
Put a torque wrench into the manual drive socket of the latch actuator.

 (b)
Turn the torque wrench twenty turns in the OPEN direction.

 (c)
Turn the torque wrench twenty turns in the CLOSE direction.

 (d)
Make a note of the torque you use to turn the actuator.

 (e)
Make sure the torque is not greater than 25 pound-inches.

 S 826-030
 (13)
If the torque is more than 25 pound-inches, adjust the latch fittings on the cargo door sill (Ref 52-34-00/501).

 S 286-031

 (14)
Do a check of the hook operation (Detail B).

CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 (a)
Open the cargo door electrically.

 (b)
Look at the hooks from inside the cargo compartment while the door moves.
