F. Procedure

(1) Disconnect the pushrods (12), (18), and (19) from the bellcranks (Fig. 401).
NOTE: The pushrod (14) was disconnected during the removal of the

latch actuator.

Examine the torque necessary to turn each lower latch through its full range of motion.

If the torque is more than 55 pound-inches, clean and lubricate the lower latches (Ref 12-21-04/301).

If the torque is more than 55 pound-inches after you lubricate the lower latches, rework the latches per CMM 52-34-11 (Forward Cargo Door) or CMM 52-35-11 (Aft Cargo Door).

Connect the pushrods (12), (18), and (19) to the bellcranks.
NOTE: Pushrod (14) will be connected after the latch actuator is

CAUTION: USE A TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR TO FIND WHEN THE
_______ ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE AGAINTS EACH OTHER. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 25 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 25 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE LATCH ACTUATOR.

Do these steps to set the latch actuator in the rigged open position:
(a)
Manually turn the latch actuator counterclockwise to the open position.

(b) Measure the torque. When the torque increases by 15-20
pound-inches, the internal steps are against each other.
