 (5)  Do these steps to adjust the hook actuator in the rigged open position:
 CAUTION: USE A TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR TO FIND WHEN
_______ ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE TOUCHED. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 25 POUND-INCHES. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 25 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE HOOK ACTUATOR.
 (a)  Put the hook actuator in the rigged closed position: 1) Manually turn the hook actuator clockwise to the internal stops. 2) Examine the torque. When the torque increases by 15-20
 pound-inches, the internal stops are touched. 3) Turn the hook actuator 2 1/2 turns counterclockwise.
 NOTE: This is the rigged closed position.

 (b)  
Remove the hook open stop bolts (View C-C).

 (c)  
Turn the hook actuator 112 turns counterclockwise to the hook open position.

 (d)  
Measure the remaining clearance between the surface of the hook and the surface of the ramp fitting at the location of the hook open stop bolt hole.

 (e)  
If the hook and ramp touch (Aft Door Only), turn the hook actuator clockwise until the hook is clear form the ramp.


 NOTE: A maximum of two turns is permitted.

Use washers, as it is necessary, to get the correct clearance between the hook and the stop bolt (View C-C, Fig. 401).

Connect the electrical cable at connector P1 to the hook actuator.

 DOOR HINGE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks:
 (1)  
The first task is the removal of the door hinge from the cargo door.

 (2)  
The second task is the installation of the door hinge on the cargo door.

 B.  
The hinge assembly on the cargo door is found on the top edge of the door. The hinge assembly has ten hinge sections, two end hinge sections and eight center hinge sections. The end hinge sections have one hinge pin and the center hinge sections have eight hinge pins. The hinge assembly is replaced or repaired with the cargo door installed.

 C.  
Make sure you remove and install one hinge section at a time.
