(4) Close the door electrically (Ref 52-34-00/001).

(5) Make sure the actuator arms do not touch the structure (Detail A).

(6) If the actuator arms touch the structure, adjust the lift mechanism.
NOTE:____ Use the steps in the "Connect Lift Actuator Mechanism
to Door" procedure to adjust the lift mechanism. Refer to
52-34-01/401 for this procedure.

Do a check of the actuator links to know there is not a load on them.
(a)
Hold the actuator link with both hands.
(b)
Make sure the actuator link turns around its axis.
(c)
If the actuator link does not turn, adjust the hook mechanism and the hook position switch (Ref 52-34-00/501).

Make sure there is clearance between the midspan latch pins and the midspan latch cams (Section A-A).

Adjust the midspan latch pin fitting if it is necessary get the correct clearance (Ref 52-34-01/401).

With the hooks and latches in the closed position, do a check of the latch and hook mechanisms as follows:
NOTE: Do the check after the actuators operate electrically.
____ First, do the check for the latch mechanism. Then, do the check again for the hook mechanism.
(a)
Put a torque wrench in the manual drive socket of the actuator.
(b)
Make a mark on the door to show the position of the torque wrench handle.
NOTE: This position is where the actuator stops after
____ it operates electrically.
(c)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the OPEN direction.
(d)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the CLOSE direction.
(e)
Make a note of the torque used to move the actuator.
(f)
Turn the torque wrench slowly in the CLOSE direction.
