Connect the brake temperature sensor at the brake (Fig. 401):
(a)
Use the table of wheel locations and connector numbers below to find the connector for the applicable brake temperature sensor.

Remove the thread protector from the axle threads and the protector assembly from the axle.

Do the applicable steps below to complete installation of the brake unit and to prepare the brake unit for an operational test.
(a)
It is not necessary to bleed a brake unit if these items are done before the installation of the brake unit: 1) The brake half of a hydraulic brake disconnect is installed
on the brake unit. 2) The brake unit is completely filled with BMS 3-11 hydraulic fluid. 3) All air is bled from the brake unit.
(b)
It is necessary to bleed a brake unit if all the items shown above are not done before installation of the brake unit.
(c)
If it is not necessary to bleed the brake unit, do these steps: 1) Make sure that wheel chocks are installed. 2) Make sure the parking brake is released.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL
_______ CONTROL SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
3) Pressurize hydraulic system 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
4) Do this sequence of steps six times to bleed any small quantities of air from the brakes: a) Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of
travel to fully operate the brakes. b) Hold these brake pedals in this position momentarily. c) Slowly release the brake pedals. Stop for ten seconds
before you operate the brakes again.
CAUTION: BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO GET HYDRAULIC BRAKE FLUID ON THE BRAKE
_______ LININGS. THE BRAKE WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY IF THE BRAKE LININGS HAVE HYDRAULIC FLUID ON THEM.
(d) If it is necessary to bleed the brake unit, bleed the brake unit (AMM 32-41-00/201).

(9) Do these steps to do an operational test of the brake unit:
