Remove the Return Valve

Do these steps to remove the return valve:
(a)
Disconnect the three hydraulic lines from the return valve.
(b)
Put caps or plugs on the ends of the open hydraulic lines.
(c)
Remove the three sets of bolts and washers that attach the return valve to the bracket.
(d)
Remove the return valve from the airplane.

Remove the adapters from the return valve.

Remove the O-rings and backup rings from the adapters and discard the O-rings.

Put plugs in the open ports of the return valve.

Install the Return Valve

If necessary, remove the plugs in the ports of the return valve.

Lubricate the O-rings and the backup rings of the three adapters and install them on the adapters.

Install the three adapters in the ports of the return valve.

Do these steps to install the return valve:
(a)
Position the return valve in its installed position on the airplane.
(b)
Install the three sets of bolts and washers that attach the return valve to the bracket.
(c)
Remove the caps or plugs that are on the ends of the open hydraulic lines.
(d)
Connect the three hydraulic lines to the return valve.

Do these steps to do an operational test of the return valve:
(a)
Make sure the landing gear ground locks are installed (AMM 09-11-00/201).
(b)
Make sure the wheel chocks are installed.
(c)
If necessary, release the parking brake.
(d)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(e)
Make sure the power is removed from hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
