E. Procedure
S 434-064
(1)
Lubricate the threads of the pressure switch, the O-rings, and the backup rings with hydraulic fluid or hydraulic assembly lube.
S 434-066
(2)
Install the O-rings and backup rings on the pressure switch.
S 424-068
(3)
Do these steps to install the pressure switch:
(a)
Remove the plug from the port in the manifold.
(b)
Install the pressure switch at the port in the manifold.
(c)
Lockwire the pressure switch to the manifold.
(d)
Connect the electrical connector, DS1886, to the pressure switch.
S 714-070
(4)
Do these steps to do on operational test of the pressure switch:
(a)
If necessary, supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Make sure the power is removed from hydraulic systems 1 and 2 (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(c)
Make sure the pressure in hydraulic systems 1 and 2 is less than 1400 psi.
NOTE: Use the pressure indication on the EICAS hydraulic
____ synoptic display to get a value for the pressure in hydraulic system 1 and 2 (AMM 31-61-00/001).
(d) In necessary, do these steps to decrease the pressure in hydraulic system 1 and 2 to less than 1400 psi: 1) Make sure the power is removed from hydraulic system 4
(AMM 29-11-00/201). 2) Look at the pressure indications on the EICAS hydraulic synoptic display (AMM 31-61-00/001).
3) Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of travel, hold momentarily, and then release. Do this cycle of manual brake operation until the pressure indication for hydraulic systems 1 and 2 is less than 1400 psi.
