(5) S 494-030Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
(6) S 864-006Remove the pressure from hydraulic systems 1, 2, and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(7) S 864-007Do these steps to remove the hydraulic fluid from the accumulator: (a) Look at the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the Captain's Main Instrument Panel, P1. (b) Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of travel, hold momentarily, and then release. Repeat this cycle 10 times. 1) Make sure the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage decreases during manual brake operation. 2) After 10 cycles of manual brake operation, make sure the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage shows no more decrease in pressure.
(8) S 844-008Do these steps to release the gas from the hydraulic brake accumulator: (a) Remove the cap from the gas charging valve for the accumulator.
WARNING:_______ DO NOT LOOSEN THE BODY OF THE GAS CHARGING VALVE. THE PRESSURE IN THE ACCUMULATOR CAN QUICKLY PUSH THE GAS CHARGING VALVE OFF THE MANIFOLD. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b) (c) Turn the outer nut of the gas charging valve one turn counterclockwise to release the gas pressure from the accumulator.Make sure the pressure indication of the direct reading pressure gage goes to zero.

Disconnect the hydraulic line from the higher end of the accumulator.

Put a cap on the line and the hydraulic port.

Disconnect the tubing on the lower end of the accumulator.

Remove the hydraulic brake accumulator.
(a)
Loosen the clamps that attach the accumulator to the keel beam.
(b)
Remove the accumulator from the airplane.

Remove the unions from the higher side and the lower side of the accumulator.

Discard the O-rings.
