F. Procedure

(1) Install the reducer in the end of the pressure transmitter.
NOTE: Lubricate and install the O-ring with the reducer.

Do the steps that follow to install the pressure transmitter:
(a)
Put the transmitter in its position on the mounting bracket and install the four screws and washers. 1) Clean the mating surfaces to make an electrical bond at one
of the screw locations.

2) Use a bonding meter to measure electrical resistance across the bond (AMM 20-22-01/601). a) Maximum resistance must not be more than +/- 0.0025
ohms.
(b)
Lubricate the threads and fittings of the tube assembly.
(c)
Install the tube between the manifold and the pressure transmitter.
(d)
Tighten the tubing nuts.
(e)
Connect the electrical connector, DT409, to the pressure transmitter.

Do these steps to charge the hydraulic brake accumulator:
(a)
Attach a source of nitrogen or dry air to the stem of the gas charging valve.
