 (g)  
Make sure that all wing and tail valves are off.

 (h)  
Pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1, 2, and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201). Use a hydraulic service cart or the demand pump with the engine-driven pump for hydraulic system No. 2 to pressurize hydraulic system No. 2 (AMM 29-11-00/201).


 NOTE: If it is available, use a hydraulic service cart
____ for hydraulic system #2. If you do not use a hydraulic service cart, you must operate both the demand pump (ACMP or ADP) and the engine-driven pump, since there may not be sufficient capacity to complete the test with just one pump.

 (2)  
Do the steps that follow to do a test of alternate source selection:

 (a)  
Make sure the pressure shown on EICAS for No. 1, 2 and 4 hydraulic systems is within 100 psi of the hydraulic pressure that is supplied to the system.

 (b)  
Make sure that the BRAKE SOURCE light on the P1-4 panel is off.

 (c)  
Make sure that the BRAKE SOURCE message does not show on the upper EICAS display.

 (d)  
Make sure the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the P1-4 panel shows within 100 psig of the pressure supplied to system No. 4.

 (e)  
Make sure the test gages installed on each brake do not show more than 75 psig.

 (f)  
Quickly push the captain's brake pedals to the stops and hold for 2 - 4 seconds and monitor the indication as follows:


 NOTE: If you cannot monitor all of the necessary indication in
____ the time specified above, do this step again before you monitor each indication.
 (g)  
Make sure the pressure shown on the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the P1-4 panel momentarily decreases.

 (h)  
Make sure the pressure for hydraulic system No. 4 shown on EICAS momentarily decreases.

 (i)  
Make sure the pressure shown on EICAS for hydraulic systems No. 1 and 2 does not change.

 (j)  
Release the brake pedals.

 (k)  
Remove the pressure from hydraulic system No. 4 without use of the brake pedals (AMM 29-11-00/201). 1) Move the No. 4 TAIL FLIGHT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch on the


 P461 panel to the ON position.

 2)  Make sure the pressure for hydraulic system No. 4 shows less than 160 psig on EICAS.
 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
 RUDDERS AND ELEVATORS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE CONTROLS.
 INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR IF

 THE AREA IS NOT CLEAR.
 3)  If it is necessary to release remaining pressure from hydraulic system No. 4, operate the elevators until the pressure indication on EICAS shows less than 160 psig.
 4)  Move the No. 4 TAIL FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch to the OFF
 position.Make sure the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the P1-4 panel is within 100 psig of the pressure it was at when hydraulic system No. 4 was pressurized.Make sure the pressure indication for hydraulic system No. 1 and 2 on EICAS is within 100 psig of the pressure that is supplied.Make sure the hydraulic system No. 4 SYS FAULT light, on the P5 panel, is on.Make sure the hydraulic system No. 1 and 2 SYS FAULT lights, on the P5 panel, are off.Make sure the BRAKE SOURCE message does not show on the upper EICAS display.Quickly push the captain's brake pedals to the stops and hold for 2 - 4 seconds and monitor the indication as follows:
