Prepare for the Test

(1) Make sure the ground locks are installed in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: " Install the Door Locks for all the landing gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Make sure that wheel chocks are installed at each wheel.

Release the parking brake.

Make sure the landing gear handle is in the DN position.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the brake hydraulic accumulator has the correct precharge pressure (AMM 12-15-09/301).

F. Do the steps that follow to do a test for the gear retract brake:

(1)
Make sure the pressure indication for hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 on EICAS shows 2900 - 3150 psig.

Move the landing gear lever to the UP position.
NOTE: Push the LOCK OVERRIDE button while you move the gear

handle to the UP position.
(a)
Monitor the indicator on each brake assembly.
1) Make sure that each brake operated to compress the heat stack.
(b)
Make sure there is no noise or instability at high frequency.

Move the landing gear handle to the DN position.

Monitor the indicator on each brake assembly. 1) Make sure that each brake releases.
