(b)  Increase the tension on the left and right brake cables to 210 +/- 10 pounds.
NOTE: When you are adjusting the cable tension, maintain a gap
____ of approximately 1.33 inches between the inboard edge of the lower lever arm of the brake pedal bus crank assembly and the outboard edge of the stop. Note that this is a preliminary gap adjustment and it is not necessary to adjust the gap accurately at this time. A stop gap gage block may make this adjustment easier.
 (c)
Remove the rig pins No. 3 and No. 4 of the left and right brake metering valve control quadrant.
 (d)
Push the left and right brake pedals to the stops 25 times.
 S 035-036
 (2)
Remove the lock clips for the turnbuckle on the brake cables (AMM 20-11-02/401) if they are installed.
 (a)
Loosen the cable at the turnbuckles.
 S 835-069
 (3)
Do the steps that follow for the left and right brake metering valve assemblies to adjust the brake metering valve control rods (Fig. 502 sheet 2):
 (a)
Disconnect one end of each of the four bus crank assembly pushrods and allow them to hang free.
 (b)
Pull the cable quadrant in the direction that rotates the brake metering valve assembly input lever in the clockwise or off direction.
NOTE: Make sure that the brake metering valve assembly is in
____
 the fully off position.
 (c)  If it is necessary, adjust the brake metering valve input control rod to the necessary length to install the rig pins No. 3 and No. 4 with a loose fit.
