Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE TAGS:
(a)
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6C29 ALT LG EXT WING L
2) 6C30 ALT LG EXT WING R
3) 6C31 ALT LG EXT BODY L
4) 6C32 ALT LG EXT BODY R

Removal of the Differential and Safety Valve (Fig. 401)
S 034-023
(1)
Disconnect these electrical connectors on the electrical actuators:
(a)
Connector DM86 for the left actuator.
(b)
Connector DM89 for the right actuator.

(2)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the safety valve.

(3)
Install caps on the hydraulic lines.

(4)
Put the ground release handle for the doors in the "Unlocked" position.

Put the rig pin AE/GD-5 (LH) or AE/GD-6 (RH) in the bus quadrant.

Put the rig pin AE/GD-3 (LH) or AE/GD-4 (RH) in the ground release handle.

Put the rig pin AE/GD-7 (LH) or AE/GD-8 (RH) as applicable in the uplock mechanism for the left or right wing gear.

On the valve you will remove, install clamps on the cables that are connected to the valve to hold them on side of the turnbuckle away from the valve. This will make sure the cables around the bus quadrant and the uplock mechanism stay in the correct position when you remove the cable that is around the differential.
