Prepare for the Removal

(1) Make sure that the ground locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE DOOR
_______ OPERATION PATH. THE DOORS MOVE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Move the ground release handle for the landing gear doors to the "Doors Open" position. This will open the doors for the main landing gear.

Remove the pressure from hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Make sure that the actuators for the wing gear doors are in the "Doors Closed" position.

Put the handle in the "Unlocked" position.

Install the pins, AE/GD-3 (LH) or AE/GD-4 (RH) in the ground release handle.

Loosen the turnbuckles on cables GDR7A and GDR7B (GDR8A and GDR8B right- hand).

Remove the cotter pins and disconnect the cables GDR7A and GDR7B (GDR8A and GDR8B right-hand) from the handle mechanism.

Remove the bolts that hold the handle and remove the handle.
