_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove the pressure from hydraulic system 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Do these steps to remove the hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic brake accumulator:
(a)
Look at the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the Captain's Main Instrument Panel, P1.
(b)
Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of travel, hold momentarily, and then release. Repeat this cycle 10 times.
(c)
Make sure the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage decreases during manual brake operation.
(d)
After the 10 cycles of manual brake operation, make sure the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage shows no more decrease in pressure.

Do these steps to release the gas from the hydraulic brake accumulator:
(a)
Remove the cap from the stem of the gas charging valve (Fig. 401).

WARNING:_______DO NOT LOOSEN THE BODY OF THE GAS CHARGING VALVE. THE PRESSURE IN THE ACCUMULATOR CAN QUICKLY PUSH THE GAS CHARGING VALVE OFF THE MANIFOLD. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Turn the outer nut of the charging valve one turn counterclockwise to release the gas from the hydraulic brake accumulator.
(c)
Make sure the pressure indication of the direct reading pressure gage goes to zero.

Procedure

(1)
Do these steps to remove the pressure transmitter:
(a)
Loosen the nuts that connect the tube to the pressure transmitter and to the manifold.
(b)
Remove the tube.
(c)
Open this circuit breaker and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
1) P6, Main Power Distribution Panel a) 6D23, BRAKE PRESS IND
(d)
Open this circuit breaker (if installed) and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) P415, Power Distribution Center, Right Panel
a) 415R19, TOWING XFMR
(e)
Disconnect electrical connector DT409 from the pressure transmitter.
(f)
Remove four screws and washers that attach the pressure transmitter to the mounting bracket.
(g)
Remove the pressure transmitter.
