MAINTENANCE MANUAL
CAUTION: TIGHTEN THE BRAKE BLEEDER VALVE TO 45 POUND-INCHES MAXIMUM
_______ TO INSTALL OR CLOSE THE VALVE. IF YOU TIGHTEN THE VALVE TO MORE THAN 45 POUND-INCHES, YOU WILL DAMAGE THE BRAKE BLEEDER ADAPTER AND CAUSE THE BRAKE TO HAVE A LEAK.
(h)
Close the bleeder valve.
(i)
Make sure that the quantity collected in the container is a maximum of 95 and a minimum of 60 cubic inches.
S 902-018
(7)
If the quantity collected in the container is not as specified above, replace the hydraulic fuse (AMM 32-42-02/201).
S 722-019
(8)
Do the alternate brake system fuses test for each of the eight alternate brake system fuses.
NOTE: In the alternate brake system, one fuse is shared by
____ each of two brakes on the same axle. You only need to bleed hydraulic fluid from one brake bleed valve for each pair of brakes. You must repeat the test eight times, once for each axle, to test all of the alternate brake system fuses.
Monitor the hydraulic reservoir quantity carefully. The alternate brake system test series will use approximately 2.2 to 3.3 U.S. gallons of hydraulic fluid.
S 842-020
(9)
Do the steps that follow to put each of the sixteen brakes back to normal:
(a)
Remove the bleed hose from the bleeder valve.
(b)
Tighten the bleeder assembly to 45 pound-inches maximum.
(c)
Install the screw and washer in the bleeder valve.

(10) Remove the pressure from hydraulic systems No. 1, 2 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
NOTE:____ The removal of system hydraulic pressure will usually
set all normal and alternate brake system hydraulic fuses to
the open position. This will put the brakes back to a
serviceable condition.
If a fuse does not set again, it will be necessary to get
access to the applicable antiskid module assembly and
manually set the fuse again.
S 612-022
(11) Do the servicing steps to the hydraulic reservoir of hydraulic systems No. 1, 2 and 4 (AMM 12-12-01/301).
S 782-054
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(12)
Pressurize hydraulic system No. 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
