Do these steps to remove the hydraulic fluid from the accumulator:
(a)
Look at the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the Captain's Main Instrument Panel, P1.
(b)
Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of travel, hold momentarily, and then release. Repeat this cycle 10 times. 1) Make sure the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS
WARNING:_______ YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE
QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS
gage decreases during manual brake operation.
2) After the 10 cycles of manual brake operation, make sure the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage shows no more decrease in pressure.

Do these steps to release the gas from the hydraulic brake accumulator:
(a)
Remove the cap from the stem of the gas charging valve.

WARNING:_______DO NOT LOOSEN THE BODY OF THE GAS CHARGING VALVE. THE PRESSURE IN THE ACCUMULATOR CAN QUICKLY PUSH THE GAS CHARGING VALVE OFF THE MANIFOLD. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Turn the outer nut of the gas charging valve one turn counterclockwise to release the gas pressure from the accumulator.
(c)
Make sure the pressure indication of the direct reading pressure gage goes to zero.

Procedure

(1)
Do these steps to remove the pressure gage:
(a)
Loosen nuts on the tube between the manifold and the pressure gage.
(b)
Disconnect the tube from the pressure gage.
(c)
Put a cap on the pressure gage and the tube fittings.
(d)
Remove the four bolts to remove the pressure gage from the mounting bracket.
(e)
Remove the screws, shield and spacers from the pressure gage.

A. General
(1)
In subsequent steps, the hydraulic brake accumulator direct reading pressure gage is referred to as the pressure gage.

Grade, 99.9 percent pure)

If nitrogen is not available,
