This condition is necessary for this task:
(a)
The internal and external temperatures must be stable for one hour.

Prepare to Adjust the Brake System
NOTE: Installation of rudder pedal arm rig pins R-1 (Captain's assembly)
____ or R-2 (First Officer's assembly) for this procedure can prevent inadvertent rudder pedal inputs and make the adjustment easier.

(1) Make sure the ground locks are installed in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Install the Door Locks for all the landing gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
(3)
Make sure that wheel chocks are installed at all wheels.

Release the parking brake.

Remove the outboard ceiling panels (approximately 8 feet 6 inches aft of the number 1 entry door) for access to the brake cable turnbuckles (AMM 25-22-01/401).
NOTE: For access to other turnbuckles, remove the outboard
____ ceiling panels adjacent to the number three entry door. The turnbuckles are in the ceiling area at the locations specified below.

If you have installed new cables, do the steps that follow to prestretch the cables before you do the subsquent adjustments:
(a)
Install the rig pins No. 3 and No. 4 of the left and right brake metering valve control quadrant.
