(1)
Do these steps to install the pressure gage:
(a)
Install the screws, washers, shield and spacers on the pressure gage.
(b)
Install the pressure gage on the mounting bracket with nuts.
(c)
Lubricate the threads on the pressure gage fitting.
(d)
Connect the tube to the pressure gage.
(e)
Tighten the tube nuts at the pressure gage and the manifold.

Do these steps to charge the hydraulic brake accumulator:
(a)
Attach a source of nitrogen or dry air to the stem of the gas charging valve.
WARNING:_______DO NOT LOOSEN THE BODY OF THE GAS CHARGING VALVE. THE PRESSURE IN THE ACCUMULATOR CAN QUICKLY PUSH THE GAS CHARGING VALVE OFF THE MANIFOLD. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Turn the outer nut of the gas charging valve one turn
counterclockwise.
(c)
With a value for the ambient temperature of the airplane, find the correct charge pressure for the accumulator.
(d)
Look at the pressure indication on the direct reading pressure gage adjacent to the mainfold assembly.
(e)
Pressurize the accumulator to the correct pressure shown on the charging instructions marker.
NOTE: Use the direct reading pressure gage for indication of
____
the accumulator charge pressure.

(f) Turn the outer nut of the gas charging valve clockwise until it
is tight.
(g) Do these steps to make sure that the accumulator charge
pressure is satisfactory:
1) Look at the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS
gage, on the P1 panel.
2) Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of travel.
3) Make sure the indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage does
not decrease when you push the brake pedals down.
4) If the indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage decreases
during brake operation, do the accumulator charging
procedure again.
NOTE:____ Sometimes you must do the accumulator charging
procedure a second time. This is necessary when the
initial accumulator charging was done without the
accumulator completely empty of hydraulic fluid.
(h) Disconnect the nitorgen or dry air source from the stem of the
gas charging valve.
(i) Install the cap on the stem of the gas charging valve.
