3. Brake Pedal Bus Crank Assembly - Installation (Fig. 401)_____________________________________________
A. General
(1)
In subsequent steps:
(a)
The crank assembly for the brake pedal bus is referred to as the bus crank assembly.
(b)
The pushrod for the brake control quadrant is referred to as the control quadrant pushrod.
(c)
The lower bearing retainer assembly is referred to as the lower bearing retainer.
(d)
The brake pedal bellcrank assembly is referred to as the bellcrank assembly.

F. Prepare for the Installation

(1) Make sure that the landing gear ground locks are installed
(AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Install a rig pin in the right and left metering valve control quadrant (left and right wing gear wheel well, outboard side).

(5)
Install rig pins through the bell crank assembly below the brake pedals (4 locations).

Install the Brake Pedal Bus Crank Assembly (Fig. 401)

Do these steps to install the bus crank assembly:
(a)
Make sure the lower bearing retainer contains a new bearing.
