 (3)  If the CMC shows a brake torque sensor malfunction, the brake equalizer rod, with the brake torque sensor installed, is removed from the airplane and replaced. No calibrations or repairs are done on the sensor while it is installed on the airplane. Special calibration tooling and procedures are necessary for this.
 13. Operation_________
 A.  Functional Description - Antiskid System (Fig. 11)
 (1)  
Power and system inputs

 (a)  
28 vdc electrical power is supplied to each antiskid main wheel card independently through circuit breakers on the P180 DC Power Distribution Panel (Ref description of brake system control unit main wheel cards).

 (b)  
IRS inputs


 1)  IRU inputs are supplied from the Inertial Reference Units (IRU) to antiskid main wheel cards as follows:
 -Left IRU to wheel cards 2-4, 6-8, 9-11, 13-15
 -Right IRU to wheel cards 1-3, 5-7, 10-12, 14-16
 IRU inputs may be changed by selection on the flight deck. The input to the brake control unit will depend on the IRU selection for the flight management system and flight instrument displays.
 2)  The left IRU input is controlled by the Captain's source select switch. The right IRU is controlled by the First Officer's source select switch.
 3)  IRS inputs supply ground speed data for touchdown/hydroplane protection.
 (c)  Landing gear lever switch -
1)  This supplies gear handle down signals to all main wheel cards. The gear handle down signal is a ground. The gear handle not down signal is an open circuit.
 2)  The open circuit turns off the alternate antiskid drive signals for 12 seconds when the landing gear lever is moved from the down position. This permits the alternate brake system to stop the wheels from spinning before the gear is retracted into the wheel well.
 (d)  
Antiskid transducer 1) Output signal is a sine wave of 0 to 10 volts peak to peak,

 150 pulses per revolution of the wheel. 2) This supplies wheel speed signals to the main wheel card.

 (e)  
Parking brake input


 1)  When the parking brake valve and parking brake switch agree a ground results (Ref 32-42-00/001). When the parking brake valve and parking brake switch disagree, an open circuit results.
