Release the hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic pressure surge accumulator.
(a)
Look at the pressure on the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the captain's instrument panel.
(b)
Push in on the brake pedals fully 10 times.
(c)
Make sure the pressure does not decrease the last time you operate the brake pedals.

Release the gas from the hydraulic pressure surge accumulator.
(a)
Remove the dust cap from the charging valve.
WARNING:_______DO NOT LOOSEN THE BODY OF THE VALVE. THE PRESSURE IN THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SURGE ACCUMULATOR CAN QUICKLY PUSH THE VALVE OFF THE MANIFOLD. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b) Loosen the swivel hexagonal nut on the charging valve a maximum of one turn.

Look at the pressure gage for the hydraulic pressure surge accumulator.
(d)
Make sure the pressure gage shows zero pressure.
(e)
Install the dust cap.

Remove the Pressure Gage

Remove the pressure gage.
(a)
Loosen the tubing nuts on the tube between the manifold and the pressure gage.
(b)
Disconnect the tube from the pressure gage.
(c)
Put a cap on the pressure gage fitting and the tube fitting.
(d)
Remove the four nuts that attach the pressure gage to the mounting bracket.
(e)
Remove the pressure gage from the mounting bracket.
(f)
Remove the screws, washers, shield, and spacers from the pressure gage.

Install the door locks on the doors for the wing and the body landing gears (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Install the Pressure Gage

(1)
Install the pressure gage:
(a)
Install the screws, washers, shield, and spacers on the pressure gage.
(b)
Install the pressure gage on the mounting bracket.
(c)
Install four nuts to attach the pressure gage to the mounting bracket.
(d)
Lubricate the threads on the pressure gage fitting.
(e)
Connect the tube to the pressure gage.
(f)
Tighten the tubing nuts at the pressure gage and the manifold.
