 A. Safety Precautions
 (1)
 Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.

 (2)
 Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

 (3)
 Put the safety barriers in position.

 (4)
 Put the access platform in position below the applicable wing-tip, zone 534 (634).

 (5)
 Remove the applicable access panel:


 -for the left wing-tip remove 534AB
 -for the right wing-tip remove 634AB. Subtask 57-31-21-865-050
 B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

 4. Procedure

 A. Removal of the Wing-tip Structure
 (1)
 Disconnect the supply cable from the connector (4).

 (2)
 Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.

 (3)
 Remove the grommet (3) from the adjacent structure.

 (4)
 Push the supply cable through the hole where the grommet (3) was installed.

 (5)
 Hold the wing tip (2) (weight approximately 20 Kg (44 lb)) on supports and remove the bolts (5).

 (6)
 Remove the wing tip (2) laterally from the two spigots (1) and put it on a suitable trestle.

 (7)
 Prevent damage to the component interface and the adjacent area.
