A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4)
Put an access platform in position below the applicable wing-tip:
-for the left wing, below zone 534
-for the right wing, below zone 634. Subtask 57-31-00-865-052
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

4. Procedure

A. Reactivation of the Wing-Tip Fence
(1)
Reactivation of a wing-tip fence that was not fully removed:
(a)
Remove the damaged wing-tip fence (Ref. TASK 57-31-22-000-001).
(b)
Install a new wing-tip fence (Ref. TASK 57-31-22-400-001).
(c)
Write down in the aircraft log that the wing-tip fence has been reactivated.
(2)
Reactivation of a wing-tip fence that was removed:
(a)
Remove the aluminium foil adhesive tape from the wing tip.
(b)
Clean the wing tip with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
(c)
Install a new wing-tip fence (Ref. TASK 57-31-22-400-001).
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1LA, 2LA, 10LV.

B. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the access platform(s).
(3)
Remove the safety barriers.
(4)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(5)
Remove the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER from the flap/slat control lever.
(6)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
