A. Safety Precautions

Make sure that the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

R A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

GLAZING.
(1)
For a pre modification 25268 glazing panel:
(a)
Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(b)
Clean the glazed area of the glazing panel (3) with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-006) or CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001P) and water.
(c)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(d)
If there is a crack in the glazing panel, or it is broken:
-deactivate the glazing panel (Ref. TASK 33-41-00-040-001).
(2)
For a post modification 25268 glazing panel:
(a) Do an inspection of the aircraft structure/component interface. R Make sure that the sealant interfay is in good condition.
(b) If there is a crack in the glazing panel, or it is broken:
-deactivate the glazing panel (Ref. TASK 33-41-00-040-001).
(c) If necessary, clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(d) Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-045) or PR1829 Polysulphide Sealant for Glazings to the aircraft structure/component interface.
(e) Clean the glazed area of the glazing panel (5) with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-006) or CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001P) and water.
R (3) For a post modification 28219, 30791, 30889 or 32153 glazing panel:
(a) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(b) Clean the glazed area of the glazing panel (8) with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-006) or CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001P) and water.
(c) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(d) If there is a crack in the glazing panel, or it is broken: - deactivate the glazing panel (Ref. TASK 33-41-00-040-001).
(e) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

R B. Installation of the Navigation Light Glazing Panel
(1) For installation of a pre modification 25268 glazing panel:
(a) Put the glazing panel (3) with the seal (1) in position.
R (b) Install the bolts (2).
R (c) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 0.8 and 0.9 m.daN (70.79 and 79.64 lbf.in).
(2) For installation of a post modification 25268 glazing panel:
(a) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-064) to the inner
surface of the glazing panel (5).
(b) Put the glazing panel (5) in position.
R (c) Install the bolts (4).
