R  (1) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area. 
R  (2) Use a non-metallic scraper and a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) 
R  made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean: 
R  - the interface of the aircraft structure 
R  - the mating surfaces of the access panel (3). 
R  (3) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) to the interface of the aircraft 
R  structure. 
R  (4) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-013A) to the mating surfaces 
R  of the access panel (3). 
R  (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other 
R  items.
