(3) Remove the access platform(s).

Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

(1)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable pylon rear-attachment point, zone 475(485).
(2)
Remove the applicable aft attach fitting (Ref. TASK 54-51-17-000-002).

A. Removal of the Pylon Rear Attachment Bearing
(1)
Bend the tab washer (2) to release the slotted nut (1).
(2)
Hold the bearing (4) with the SPANNER - PYLON PICK-UP (98D57004027000) and use the SOCKET - PYLON PICK-UP (98D57004026000) to remove the slotted nut (1).
(3)
Make sure that the slotted nut (1) is in the correct condition.
(4)
Remove and discard the tab washer (2).
(5)
Do these steps to remove the bearing (4): CAUTION : DO NOT DAMAGE THE REAR BEARING ATTACHMENT WHEN YOU REMOVE
