A. Safety Precautions
WARNING : OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(3)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(4)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(5)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable drain-hole, zone 540 (640).

A. Inspection
(1) Examine the drain-hole(s) at slat-track(s) 1 thru 4 and Rib-bay(s) 1-2. (Ref. Fig. 603/TASK 57-41-00-991-009) Make sure that the drain-hole(s):
-
are clear
-
are not damaged
-show no signs of fuel leakage.
-the adjacent area(s) are not corroded
-surface-finish is in the correct condition
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the
____
correct repair procedure.
(2) Examine the magnetic level indicators.
(Ref. Fig. 604/TASK 57-41-00-991-008)
Make sure that:
-
the hole edges are not damaged
-
the sight-collar is in good condition
-
the surface condition of the hole edges is correct
-
there is no fuel leakage
-
there is no corrosion.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the
____
correct repair procedure.
(3) Examine the LH and RH MLG pickup-rail holes.
(Ref. Fig. 605/TASK 57-41-00-991-010)
Make sure that:
-
the edges of the holes are not damaged or distorted
-
the adjacent area has no corrosion
-
the edges of the holes have the correct surface condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the
