A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the adjustable access platform is in position below the applicable wing inboard and outboard leading edge, zones 521
(621) or 522 (622).
(2)
Make sure that the applicable slats have been removed:
-
for the rollers at slat tracks 1, 2, 3 and/or 4, remove the slat No. 1 (Ref. TASK 27-84-63-000-001)
-
for the rollers at slat tracks 5 and/or 6, remove the slat No. 2 (Ref. TASK 27-84-64-000-001)
-
for the rollers at slat tracks 7 and/or 8, remove the slat No. 3 (Ref. TASK 27-84-65-000-001)
