A. Preparation for Inspection
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to clean the parts of the roller contact-areas of slat tracks 9 and 10 that you can see.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the parts of the roller contact-areas of the slat-tracks 9 and 10 that you can see. Make sure that:
-
there is no damage
-
there is no distortion
-
there is no corrosion
-the protective surface is in the correct condition
-there are no scores.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 574000) for the

correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 5CV, 7CV.

Remove the warning notice(s).
(2)
Remove the safety barriers.

(1) Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Fully extend the slats (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2)
Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put the adjustable access platform in position below the applicable slat-track(s), zone 522(622).
